There is so many ways to cleanse your crystals, and it all comes down to what feels right for you. Intent is everything in life and this comes down to cleansing your crystals.
Even for me, it is what feels right at the time.
Full Moon-The power of the Full moon is a great way to cleanse your crystals and recharge them. I actually put my crystals out in the waxing and so not bring them in till the waning is a day done. I like to harness the full power of the moon. Amethyst, I will not put out till the night of the Full Moon and I bring it in the morning after the Full Moon. Sun fades amethyst, so if you want to keep your colour in your amethyst, keep it out of sun.
Smudging your Crystals- using White Sage or Palo Santo, smudge your crystals with intent. When I am doing healings this is how I cleanse my crystals between healings. You can pass them through the smoke or just smudge across them.
Bury them in Mother- now for this I use Pot Plants, as sometimes Mother Earth will take them back and you will never see your crystals again. Leave them in the earth or upon the earth for a month, so they go through the cycles of the moon.
Lay them in salt- your can lay them on a bed of salt, for 3 days to clear their energy. You can also use Black Salt for this type of cleansing. See our shop for Black Salt.
Take them to the Sea- Bra bag for washing is great for this. It means you won't lose in the sea. Wash them in the sea, when I am doing this I do Karakia(prayers), over them as I am cleansing. The power of intent is everything. Don't put crystals that go fragile in salt water or water. These crystals are Angelite, Malachite, Selenite, Fluorite (especially SALT water), Apophyllite, Tangerine Quartz, Gypsum, Lepidolite, Opal (although Australian Boulder Opal is generally safe, because it not porous), Azurite, Apatite, Halite, Turquoise, Ulexite, Labradorite (I've safely placed Labradorite in water in short bursts and it was fine, but do not count on my experience being the norm), Celestite, Pyrite and .Hematite.
Your Energy- As I have said intent is everything, you can hold the crystal you wish to cleanse, connect with the Deity or being within the crystal, send healing and cleansing energy into the crystal. Send recharge energy. This will clear your crystal.
Selenite-sit your crystals with Selenite. Selenite will cleanse, clear and charge your crystals.
Tektites- Tektites work differently, they like to be charged by the Sun. So put them out in the Sun for a few hours, the day if you can. They will supercharge for you.
There are some crystals that don't need cleansing. Selenite and the Kyanite families, these crystals self cleanse. I still put mine out in the Moon for extra charging.
Remember it is always what feels right for you.
